Proposal Abstract

Are you in a bipartite or instructional support position and curious about applying for a sabbatical? Three faculty members (2 bipartite & 1 instructional support) will share their sabbatical adventures that involved significant service, resource development, international teaching projects, and scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL). Each panel member will recount the highlights from their sabbatical and then the floor will be open for questions and discussion about the application process and content of sabbatical applications.

Statement

Sabbaticals are wonderful opportunities to have adventures that enhance our skills and knowledge as instructors; however, there are very few opportunities to find out what people do on their sabbaticals. The goal is to help bipartite and instructional support faculty consider a variety of adventures that would be appropriate for a sabbatical application.
