Proposal Abstract

Instructional practices in the K-12 sector are evolving to encourage students to think critically and deeply. These practices are easily transferable to higher education and working with adults. This session will describe and demonstrate a collection of thinking "routines" developed at Harvard's Project Zero that can be used in a wide variety of academic disciplines.

Statement

Inclusivity is not only a principle of ethical education systems, it is also a reality in TRU classrooms. This presentation demonstrates instructional strategies that actively empower all learners in an inclusive higher education context.
