For those who do not know Ai WeiWei, he is introduced at the beginning of this paper and how what he does is significant in the nation of China. The communist political system and human rights abuse are discussed and examples are provided in order for the readers to understand why Ai WeiWei does what he does. Examples of his artwork are shown and the message that it sends and displays is discussed to show how bad the human rights abuse is inside China. Ai WeiWei’s internet presences is discussed, his blogs and social media pages are used to send his message to the rest of the world so they can become better aware of what is happening inside China and inside China’s political arena. While Ai WeiWei speaks out, this comes with consequences on his own life. The abuse both physically and mentally he receives for speaking against the government is discussed and examples are given in the most appropriate manner not to offend the readers. Ai WeiWei’s political activism is the centre of this paper to speak out against the growing human rights abuse in China.
