Abstract

This paper traces the history of the daffodil in the Fraser Valley both as a technology of settler colonialism and as revealing the fallibility of settler-colonial property logics in the context of the dispossession of Japanese-Canadians. Interrogating daffodils in the everyday prompts understandings of historical violence beyond property loss alone.
