Abstract

MLAN 2700 Japan Field School students are currently researching a wide range of aspects of Japanese culture, including the Samurai, Kabuki theatre, Rakugo storytelling, Geisha, the Ainu of Hokkaido, Hibakusha (survivors of Hiroshima), Japanese aesthetics, Architecture, Cosplay, the Japanese Workplace, Buddhist Pilgrimages, and Godzilla. This presentation will showcase their initial research.
